Kortext, the UK’s leading digital textbooks platform, has unveiled the first phase of its integration with Microsoft which aims to give students much greater choice over their digital reading materials.

As part of the programme, Kortext has integrated its digital textbook software into the Microsoft Office 365 cloud-based platforms, which have been adopted by over 100 universities nation-wide.

This phase of the programme will see Kortext integrate with Microsoft’s OneDrive in the IOS, Android and Windows apps, enabling users to access thousands more additional files. The integration with OneDrive enables students to import their own articles, lecture notes and study documents into the Kortext app straight from their OneDrive account.

Kortext has developed a set of tools that can help you study smarter, allowing you to organize and share research and notes in a completely new way. I have an eReader called KORTEXT installed on my Android Phone and want to add the reader content to the Android Fire HD. Anyone know how to do this, i'm not seeing an applicable app in Amazon Store. I was just going to buy one of the books again as a kindle version but that dosen't exist.

Kortext will also fully integrate the online reader, iOS, Android and Windows app with Microsoft OneNote, allowing students and academics to export notes made against their course materials into a dedicated Kortext OneNote notebook, which can be accessed online, or through the OneNote app.

The updates will allow students to access all Office 365 applications in Kortext’s online reader and native apps with a single sign in for seamless navigation between platforms.

This affects non-keyboard users and affects the user experience, This contravenes WCAG2.1 - 2.4.1 We will add this issue to the Accessibility Action Plan for monitoring and resolution. We are currently communicating with the 3rd Party System and will update the statement annually or after the issue has been resolved.
• Tab Focus is difficult to see using Browsers other than Chrome. This makes it difficult for the user to know where the tab focus is on the screen, making it really difficult to interact with the page. The Tab Focus Indicator works with the page and mitigates the issue in the short term. This affects none mouse users and contravenes WCAG2.1 - 2.4.7. This issue has been added to the Accessibility Improvement Action Plan and are communicating with the web designer to alter the design layout. The action plan is monitored and updated annually.

Uploaded Pdf documents can be inaccessible if they have not been scanned and uploaded ensuring a pages structure, language, titles and alt text for images and tables. This is currently outside the scope of the regulations, however, we are putting a process in place that ensures all documents are scanned and saved in the most accessible way.

How we tested this Website

Xmeye for mac. We tested the most visited pages both manually and with the use of accessibility testing software such as Wave, a web accessibility evaluation tool WAVE and Accessibility Insights. This system was last tested in August 2020 by University of Cumbria.

What we’re doing to improve accessibility

We are continuously working to improve the accessibility levels or our systems and 3rd Party systems. A Basic Accessibility Check is carried out each year followed by a more detailed accessibility check, both assessments highlight the areas needing improvement. The identified issues are added to the system improvement action plan with a timescale for improvement or 3^rd party communications on improvement.
